Hey, I’m Natalie!
As a little girl, I always dreamed of seeing the world. You could say I've always had an adventurous spirit and will be ready to travel at the drop of a dime. I've been in a wheelchair since I was 2 years old because I have Spinal Muscular Atrophy, and while traveling in a wheelchair can sometimes be intimidating, it's not impossible.
My husband is also in a wheelchair, and together we've traveled all over the world - from Australia to Brazil and the Dominican Republic, plus countless cities across the US. After 20+ years of exploring, I've learned what actually works and what doesn't.
There's never enough accessibility information out there. You shouldn't have to guess whether you'll fit through doors, reach elevator buttons, or figure out transportation on the fly.
I started Roamable because I want people to feel confident about traveling to places on their bucket list instead of wondering "but will it actually work for me?" I share what I've learned so you can plan better and worry less.
It's time to check off that bucket list!
